Instructions on using the Sadisticube solver:

1. Number your blocks or line them up, so you can keep track of which is which.

2. Place each in a fixed orientation - you'll need to enter the colors in this order: top bottom front right back left.

3. Enter all six colors in the field given for each block. Separate each word with a space. For example: red orange green yellow blue purple

4. The first instruction you'll get is where to place your blocks in the cube of 8. The positions are assigned as follows: 1 - front, bottom, left; 2 - front, bottom, right; 3 - back, bottom, right; 4 - back, bottom, left; 5 - front, top, left; 6 - front, top, right; 7 - back, top, right; 8 - back, top, left. Don't worry how you orient them at this point. Just put the blocks into their proper position.

5. You will be given the arrangement of the solution's colors - orange on top, red on bottom, etc. - and (keeping them in their positions) you will need to rearrange your individual blocks to give the overall cube that color arrangement.

Most sets of blocks have more than one solution - sometimes 8 or 10 or more. If you enter your set in a different order, or even using a different orientation, you are likely to get a different arrangement for the solution. Many solutions will contain two of one color - red opposite red, for example. There is guaranteed to be at least one 'proper' solution, with each side a different color, but I haven't yet set the program to provide one of those specifically. Stay tuned!

Be very careful when entering your colors - any typos will reduce the number of solutions found - if not eliminate them entirely!
